Frequently Asked Questions  - Window Cleaning

 How often should I have my windows cleaned?

It is a good idea to have them cleaned at least once a year to prevent sometimes irreparable damage to the surface of

the glass. If you choose to have us more than once, we do offer discounts on multiple cleanings per year. Our SCHEDULED

MAINTENANCE PROGRAM is designed to reward our customers who use us more than once a year with discounts on cleanings.


The program is for customers who have a general idea as to what their cleaning frequency is (Spring, mid Summer, and

Fall are typical cleaning frequencies). Usually our clients will get an interior & exterior cleaning of their windows in the Spring,  and have one or two exterior window cleaning services performed in mid season and in the Fall before the holidays. The SCHEDULED MAINTENANCE PROGRAM is not a contract. You may cancel services, add more or less services at any time. 


We have clients that schedule services for their home monthly, bi-monthly,  3 times per year (Spring, mid Summer, and late

Fall), and quarterly (March, June, September, and December).  It is your preference how often you would like to have your windows cleaned. We strongly recommend that windows never go longer than one year between cleanings.  When windows are not maintained regularly, dirt mixed with rain form a film that can bake into the glass during the hot summer months. Other problematic issues such as hard water deposits from lawn sprinklers, aluminum run off from window frames,  and a severe oxidation issue  known as "screen burn"  from aluminum window screens. When windows are neglected for an extended period of time, additional cost, labor, time, and cleaning solutions may have to be applied to restore the glass to it's original condition.

What is included in with my window cleaning? Do you clean the window sills?

All glass surfaces will be cleaned by hand and detailed per your work order. Cobwebs  will be wiped from the window frames as part of our window cleaning procedure. The bottom of each window sill/ledge (flat horizontal surface) will be cleaned on the interior and exterior. Please note, our cleaning process does not include tilting or opening windows to clean areas that are not listed above.

Do I have to be at home to receive a quote?

No.  We pride ourselves in providing quotes that are no cost, non- intrusive, and are pressure-free. You can easily receive a quote from us without being home, as long as we have access around the outside of your property. We quote most of our jobs using this method (over 95% are quoted this way). If you would like to be present during the quotation process, we will gladly schedule a time to meet with you to discuss what you would like for us to price for you. Quotation prices are good for one year from the date that we present the quote to you.

What can I expect during your technicians' visit?

We start by arriving at your location on prompt and prepared. Our crew leading technician will meet with you and go over the work details prior to the start of any work. If you are a first time client, our technician may check to see what equipment is needed to access your windows on the inside. Before entering your home, all technicians wear shoe covers to protect your

carpet and other flooring surfaces. In addition, all equipment is clean, padded, and free from dirt. On the exterior of your home, we are careful when maneuvering around irrigation, landscaping and lighting. All ladders are padded to protect fragile surfaces such as drivit, wood, and vinyl siding.


Do I need to do anything to get ready for your technicians? What about my curtains, drapes, and blinds? 

We move and work around most everyday obstacles including furniture, curtains, drapes, blinds etc. Our technicians

are not only trained in our trade, they are also trained in moving furniture and various items carefully. We are very careful when removing and replacing wood mullions (also known as window grills). If you do have knickknacks on windows or window ledges, we ask that you please remove them prior to our arrival.  


Does someone need to be home while you are cleaning my windows?

No, but the decision to be present or not is entirely up to your preference. We know how hard it is to let strangers into your home. Our technicians are honest and trustworthy employees. Similar to how a maid services operates, quite a few of our clients will choose to leave after our crews have started working on their home, or let ourselves in upon arrival. When we are finished, we can lock up for you. We want you to be totally comfortable with every employee we send out to your home. We do extensive local, state, and federal backgrounds on every employee that works for our company.

All employees are also bonded and are drug free. 


How long will it take to clean my windows?

We will stay as long as it takes to get your windows perfectly clean and sparkling! On average, most homes

(without additional storm windows) are completed inside and out within 2- 3 hours. On larger estates, we will

often send multiple technicians to complete your service. By adding additional crews on larger projects, this will

ensure we can complete your job in a timely manner and on schedule.
